Shelby also has part ownership in a group of storytellers named Tipi Tellers and co-owns four tipis!   Tipi Tellers provides one or more tipi with 3-4 storytellers weaving stories of respect, interdependence and stewardship of the Earth and all living things.   In a way it's an extension of Shelby's interest in Nature.   Shelby and Tipi Tellers have developed retreats for teenagers and younger students through a grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife.   They have worked extensively with helping students and adults connecting with nature through a variety of stories and activities. Tipi Tellers choose stories that will fit with your interests and needs. Just looking around the inside of our tipi and asking questions allows us to teach tipi history and culture.

Tipi Tellers strives to ensure the wisdom, strength and values of our many diverse cultures are expressed and passed on to new generations.

What Teachers Say

"The tipi itself and the storytellers were great. I like the way you integrated Texas history into your program."
